Jamie was born in Canton, South Dakota. Her family then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona when she was at the age of five. Jamie graduated high school at Paradise Valley High in Scottsdale. Since childhood her family kept a home in South Dakota and in Iowa. She continued to live in both areas throughout her life. Both Arizona and the Midwest have always seemed like home to her. She attended a private college in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She received degrees in Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology. She was a 4.0 student while achieving her associate's degree in Business Management. She continued her Masters degree in psychology with emphasis on woman's issues.

Jamie is Miss South Dakota USA 97 and also Miss Hawaiian Tropic for three years in a row. Jamie has been actively involved with print, runway, and physical fitness modeling since age of 14. She has modeled all over the country. Jamie attends and judges pageants all over the United States. She is a Dale Carnegie graduate and an assistant instructor. She enjoys being an active certified personal trainer too. Jamie is currently working with women of all ages as an Image Consultant / Pageant Coach. Her business is called "Creating A Winner." Also as a hobby she does motivational speaking across the nation.
