How I Work

I am writing this for you to see the options of how it is that I work. I want to be very forward and direct with you. No hidden costs and no surprises.

I charge $75 per hour. This rate is if we are working in person. If we are working long distance through telephone than it is $50 per hour. I accept every major type of credit card. I accept money orders, and checks. I need to be paid after each meeting.

There are three ways to work:

1. We work in person. Either you come to my home or we meet in your city if I am traveling near your city.
2. We work strictly long distance. Meaning what I describe in the following. e-mail, U.S. mail, faxes, and telephone.
3. We work with the combination of the previous two. We can work long distance at first and then you come to my home for one entire day and we can sum up the things we did long distance and do things that are better to do in person.

Our first meeting we will arrange what we need to cover. Example: If you have never been in a pageant before than we have a lot to cover. There are many areas to cover. There is a list on my website of the many different areas that you many want to consider going over. If you want to concentrate on one area that is fine. Some clients like to work with me for interview only. That is fine too. The first hour is what I call “our plan of attack” and we go over what we are going to do.

If we work long distance, which to many people's surprise is over 50% of my business, this is how it works. Through trial and error this works the best. I ask you to send me a copy of all of your pageant papers. Send me pictures of yourself. In your choices of gowns, in your bathing suit, in interview suits, or if you do not have this attire just send snap shots of yourself in your regular attire. Please send pictures though of how you would look on stage or close to how you would look. Send front and back shots. Send me your resume filled out on a rough draft in three different ways. Please send me a letter about yourself as well too. We will talk about details on the telephone as well.

Here are some ideas of some things to send. Send your professional resume, send your modeling or acting resume. Send some videos of yourself, send past pageant videos, send modeling pictures, or send me pageant resumes from other pageants you have been a delegate. Send me pictures of gown ideas or hair ideas that you have seen. Send pictures in bathing suits that you already have, send pictures of bathings suits that you are considering or things on the Internet that you have seen.

Write down hobbies, how you got interested in the pageant, weakness, strengths, what your past scores are, what is your goal with pageants, and anything that you would like to include.

All information is very important and strictly CONFIDENTIAL. These are just ideas please send what you are comfortable with.

When I get your package than I will send you what I call my “care package.” I charge two hours for this package. It is a detailed letter back to you of what I thought of the information that you sent to me, plus literally over 50 pages of various information that I have collected that I think relate to the pageants and think that all idea\delegates should read. I have four drawer file of all interesting articles that I have collected and written myself on pageantry. I ask of you to read it carefully. I will send you back all of the items that you have sent to me as well. I write very detailed recommendations and than we discuss this over the telephone or in person depending on the method of how you chose to work.

We will keep in close contact with telephone, emails, fax, and mail.

I can set up mock interviews over the telephone with numerous other registered pageant judges that I know after we have worked on interview techniques.

Besides the time that we work together, I do a lot for you when we are not working together. I always like to bring this up so you realize the time that gets involved with what I do. I help you look for evening gowns, look for the right shoes, getting the appropriate swimsuit, shop for interview suits, spend hours of researching the web looking for things, going to fabric stores, meeting with alteration women, find speaking events or any self help seminars for you to attend, hours on my cell phone, plus there is always brief conversations in-between our appointments. I mail you many things, the postage handling, and copies are just some of the things that your money covers besides my time...

This is a relationship and it is very important to me. It is in my best interest to see you do well. I do put my heart into this. This is my full time job. This is my only job. I take it very seriously.

Learning these skills listed above is what we all should learn and practice whether we are in a pageant or not.
